2hollis continues to turn every track to “gold”

Self-produced, self-directed and self-edited, everything 2hollis touches seems to turn to “gold” — and it appears he knows it as well.

Stemming from the release of his debut album, boy, and major co-sign from Ken Carson (opening on his nationwide CHAOS TOUR), gold is a perfect showcase of how the 20-year-old sonic disruptor continues to challenge traditional boundaries. The Chicago-LA native opens his latest effort with an otherworldly whirr, declaring: “Ain’t no point in waiting.”

Wasting no time, Hollis’ signature blend of EDM-laced drums and distorted synths wash over you as he sing-raps: “Pick you up, dollar store / Front seat laughing with your gold teeth / What you want? Make it yours.” The track then explodes in an thunderstorm of rage, with the drop complementing Hollis’ self-directed and edited visuals as he dances in the rain. Expansive, exhilarating and truly a sonic experience like no other, 2hollis records have become an undeniable moment worth witnessing again and again.

Following his tour with Ken Carson, Hollis recently announced his Leg One Fall headlining North American Tour, now entirely sold out within days of official reveal. Kicking off on Oct. 23 in NYC, the 9-show trek has stops in cities such as Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland, ending in San Francisco at Great American Music Hall on Nov. 5.

We caught 2Hollis on tour in Chicago earlier this year. Check out our full experience here.
