Hardrock drops new two-pack ‘DIRTY SPOT / 4 to 6’

Dark vibes are Hardrock’s forte, and his latest two-pack is filled with a blitzing array of menacing melodies.

The pair of tracks, “DIRTY SPOT” and “4 to 6,” are yet another depiction of the rising Atlanta star’s presence as a top dog of the new underground. Coarse, fast-paced 808s and gritty synth leads set the tone for Hardrock’s Carti-esque flows, especially on the infectious “4 to 6” where Hardrock seems to craft his own “Vamp Anthem.”

The aggressive, abrupt undertones the new Atlanta wave have become commonplace in the underground — forged by the likes of Playboi Carti, Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely — but Hardrock culminates a different energy to his soundscape.

His songwriting feels so effortless that on his debut project 1OF1 released in September, he impresses wholeheartedly with his unique skillset (much like spotlighted peers in OsamaSon, Yhapojj and UntilJapan). However Hardrock’s sound and aesthetic goes above and beyond, evident on marquee tracks like “poet,” “complicated,” “feel alive” and “range/era.” Rock also appeared on TyFontaine’s latest project 264 alongside Summrs, Joony, Lil Dre and more — asserting his stature among other solidified new wave talent.

Proving once more why he’s 1OF1, Hardrock’s mystique is as inescapable as his sound — pushing listeners further into his stark, intangible allure with each new effort.
