Grade A shares new Juice WRLD single ‘Face 2 Face’ following JWD

We all wish we could be “Face 2 Face” with the legendary Juice WRLD one last time — and Grade A seems to know it.

Whether it was live in concert or on Instagram Live, the late icon’s legacy continues to be upheld by the endless vault of music he left behind. With Grade A Productions left to sort through troves of unreleased tracks, the label dropped his latest posthumous single “Face 2 Face” on Thursday (Dec. 15) — one week after celebrating his life with an all-star lineup of performers at the second annual Juice WRLD Day in Chicago.

This is the fourth track from the emo-rap savant in 2022, as “Face 2 Face” follows “Cigarettes,” “BYE BYE” with Marshmello and most recently “In My Head,” where label boss Lil Bibby duped hackers to prevent the track from releasing prematurely.

“Face 2 Face” is another revealing cut from Juice, where his demons closely follow him and evil grabs him at every turn. “If I knew all along the Midas Touch / Would expose all my wrongs and turn ‘em to gold / ship gon sink can’t sail no more,” he sing-raps, further engulfing Juice into the abyss that’s plagued his pysche throughout his life and music. Backed by somber guitar melodies and production from Rex Kudo, “Face 2 Face” is all about Juice facing his fears head on — even if he feels “detached from reality.”

Every time I go to fall asleep, these demons…

Haunting me face my fears

Face 2 Face as we meet / Evil is grabbing me

Losing my gravity / My minds a bloody scene

Detached from reality

I don’t wanna I don’t wanna I don’t wanna implode

Juice WRLD — “Face 2 Face”

The last we heard from Juice prior to “BYE BYE” and “In My Head” was when “Off The Rip” leaked via group buy — which was what prompted Bibby to shut down his long-awaited third posthumous record The Party Never Ends. However, if you’ve paid close attention to Maxlord’s Instagram, he’s been mixing and mastering a slew of unreleased Juice tracks in effort to (maybe) build out TPNE. Bibby and Grade A also seem to have made concerted efforts to hint that a new album is on the horizon.

Prior to his posthumous run this year, Juice was immortalized with his second full-length album, Fighting Demons, in December 2021 as well as its companion HBO-produced documentary Into The Abyss. If “Face 2 Face” is an indicator for more music, Juice WRLD fans will continue to be fed well into 2023.
