Lil Uzi Vert has been on a legendary feature run this year, continuing it by blessing South Carolina rapper NGeeYL with a verse on his new track “Off-White”.
No one can dispute the fact that Uzi is one of the most versatile artists out right now. From his feature on Kidd G’s country banger “Teenage Dream 2,” to his work on Tyler, The Creator’s new album, the Philadelphia native’s work ethic has been insatiable as of late.
He has also had notable features on songs by Justin Bieber, Internet Money, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Pi’erre Bourne, Young Nudy, Zillakami and others. This week, we also received a Space Jam: A New Legacy single from Uzi in the form of “Pump Up The Jam”.
NGeeYL has been slowly but surely building hype, flexing on songs with his signature staccato delivery. His homage to the Virgil Abloh-curated brand features his playful cadence over an aggressive beat, as Uzi hits the same flow, making it his own in the process. Fans will recognize the classic “Lil Uzi!” ad-lib as he reinforces that he is back on his Luv Is Rage energy.
This is a huge look for NGeeYL, and hopefully he is able to capitalize on this track going forward. Uzi is sure to continue his relentless takeover of 2021, so keep your ears open for more.
