Nine Vicious’ debut project, Studio Addict, not only has taken the underground by storm, but embodies the rising rapper’s diligence—er, addiction—for his craft.
Akin to artists like 1oneam, OsamaSon, Nettspend, Hardrock and more, the Atlanta native’s debut project (released on Dec. 13) has made surmounting waves in the underground circuit—especially ahead of the much-anticipated B4TM (which will lead in his supposed debut album, Tumblr Music).
Sampling a pair of Kanye tracks on album cuts like “One Beer” (i.e. “No More Parties in LA”) and the self-titled “Ye,” it’s clear who the young rapper’s inspirations are. Among Ye’s thematic influence on the 13-track tape, Nine is naturally vicious on the mic—sounding like a Destroy Lonely-Young Thug hybrid (the comparison and affiliation becomes more clear when he claims YSL on “Tokyo”) with intricate, rage-matic beats that uplift his warbly and animated vocals. It truly seems like once he strikes a hit song, he’ll be streaking towards greater acclaim.

Dropping the music video for “F&N” with acclaimed director LONEWOLF, Nine has tons more music in the vault. Teasing a ton of tracks with fellow riser 1300SAINT and old cuts with Summrs, it’s clear the Atlanta emcee has his sights set on the top. While 2025 has just started, Nine Vicious already has the year on lock—with all eyes looking his way.
