Prentiss gets the assist from Matt Ox on ‘too fast’

14-year-old artist Prentiss is a young star in the making, dropping his sixth single of the year with some help from fellow teenage rapper Matt Ox.

On their vibey new cut “too fast,” Ox joins the up-and-coming singer on a rage-inspired beat with sharp synths and heavy kicks as they tell stories of heartbreak. Visuals for the song have the duo flexing in a large mansion in LA with a fancy car to match.

Both artists have been putting in work in 2021 and Matt Ox has been among the busiest of new wave acts. Touting features with Lancey Foux, Ty Fontaine, KA$HDAMI and Young Tapz, his music has been heading in all sorts of experimental directions — and this Prentiss collaboration is no different.

Prentiss hasn’t been letting off the gas this year either, with this being his first collaborative track out of the six he’s dropped this year.

His high-pitch crooning over rock-rap beats has caught the attention of fans and fellow artists alike, including hitmakers in Swae Lee, Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI. Listeners can look out for him to continue leveling up his career as the year continues.
