Mike Dimes drops new album ‘In Dimes We Trust’

Three weeks removed from dropping his final promotional single “Home,” which has since reached 3 million Spotify streams, Mike Dimes’ moment has finally arrived.

On Tuesday (March 8), the San Antonio native released his new album In Dimes We Trust, which includes 12 songs filled with poignant imagery and hard-hitting stories that paint a immersive portrait into the Texan’s come-up.

The tracklist for In Dimes We Trust contains two promotional singles with the aforementioned “Home” and November’s “Backroom.” Features on the project include Crunk revivalist and ball of energy Duke Deuce on “Where The Party At?” and Zay3k on “Same Gang.”

The 10-cent rapper’s value continues to rise by the second, and his brand new album will surely only add to that.

San Antonio’s Mike Dimes stays close to ‘Home’ on new single

In 2021, Mike Dimes exploded onto the scene as one of Texas’ hottest young talents with a potent handful of singes and a brief, personal May project. Now, as he looks to jump start a crucial 2022 campaign, he has remained cognizant of his beloved home state.

On Feb. 15, Dimes released “Home,” his first single of the year. “Home” is an explosive cut that mixes vibrant instruments like violin and keys with a focused, versatile flow.

Sandwiching the aggressive, multi-faceted flows offered in each of the two verses, the Texas proud hook from Mike truly sets the tone, as he makes his expectations for his women and his inner circle loud and clear.

This young boy from Texas so excuse my grammar

Big booty my standards, D’USSE and Fanta

If I’m in the scene, I’m flexin’ in the camera

Check my fellas, we all flock the same

We birds of the same feather

We together, this forever, switchin’ bezels, every level

In the visuals of the track with portions that are filmed in Dimes’ hometown San Antonio, he embraces his Southern roots that are full of car junkyards, scorpions, horse ranches and more.

Along with the song and music video’s release, Dimes also announced a March, “Who Is Mike Dimes?” mini-tour that hits five different cities solely in Texas, including Austin for South By Southwest.

As a springboard into increased notoriety in the new year, “Home” is a perfect anthem for Mike to celebrate the community that makes him such a thrilling artist.
