Slump6s has become impossible to ignore with his marathon of fast-paced, melodic singles. While fans wait on a full project from 16-year-old up-and-comer, Slump shared his “Origins”’on his most self-aware track yet.
As the new wave of rappers begin their ascent to hip-hop stardom, Slump has set himself apart from the crowd with his consistency and futuristic sound. This new single finds him using a more aggressive style, spitting bars about the early stages of his career and the achievements he looks forward down the road.
Visuals for the track follow a stellar video with DotCom Nirvan for “Antisocial” with Slump’s frequent collaborator, BabySantana. Both videos are filled to the brim with psychedelic effects with urban settings to contrast — a comparable parallel to the polished quality of his songs versus its raw lyrical content.
This marks his seventh single this year, with the most recent being “Moment.” Back in May, the “Antisocial” duo of Santana and Slump dropped a three track EP titled DAKOTAROMANI, a prime example of their chemistry as two budding rappers.
Despite not having a full-length project in his discography just yet, Slump6s is looking to be a strong contender as listeners look for artists to keep an eye on in 2022.
