SSGKobe is fast approaching the one-year anniversary of his last project KO., — the seven song EP that introduced the Louisiana-based crooner to the masses. Since then, fans have eagerly been awaiting his upcoming debut studio album U4EYA, which he has been teasing heavily since the start of 2022.
With fans on the edge of their seats, Kobe decided to quench their thirsts momentarily with a new SoundCloud exclusive single on Friday (April 15). SSGKobe posted this new release “REAL LIES” through his affiliate page RITUVL on SoundCloud, as it builds sonically on the habits he has developed on recent releases.
Whether it be a soft-voiced, fast-paced melodic hook similar to his February SoundCloud cut “\RUNNING OUT OF TIME/” or a more intensive lyrical focus in the verses like on a good chunk of his March SoundCloud mixtape U4 0.5, SSGKobe seems to be finding confidence in his songwriting on “REAL LIES.”
Throughout the track that nearly spans three minutes, Kobe rides the glossy, amusing production by acknowledging the lies he’s being told by a significant other, likely because “she off oxy.”

While U4EYA does not have a release date or track list as of now, SSGKobe has proven how much he appreciates his fans by avoiding a dry spell and releasing tracks like “REAL LIES.” So far in 2022, he has put out multiple SoundCloud exclusives, a mixtape and two official singles including “Don’t Miss” and an “ESCAPE YOUR LOVE” remix with Trippie Redd.
