BenBoh’s ‘SICK OF LOVE’ is the start of a new chapter

From Olney, Maryland to New York City, BenBoh’s life is changing for the better.

The rising singer-rapper — whose accumulated nearly 1 million views on his February single “Sick Of Love” — continues to prove he can tackle any sound he sets himself in. With bombastic drill cuts, like “Haunted” and “Jury,” and a barrage of bouncy emo-trap bangers in “Maze” and “Her Type,” Boh is able to inject raw emotion into his music no matter the genre.

Seemingly inspired by the late-Juice WRLD, the rapper’s melodic flow and emo-charged vocals set the stage for bigger dreams in the Big Apple — bringing unabashed personality to his pop-punk record “Sick Of Love” (Feb. 11).

Captained by producer Mike Mvjor and DJ Goat, the track’s upbeat drum progression mixed with gliding electric guitars gives Boh a refined edge like no other. “I remember I didn’t have a friend at my back, now / Now they all coming back, look at that,” he raps with flavor, speaking on how fake friends are a dime a dozen when success starts knocking — “learning to let go” of negativity altogether.

“‘Sick of Love’ is all about my real life transition, going from an unknown commodity to an artist. This song represents moving on from old friends, bad habits and negative emotions. It’s all about learning to let go and completely enjoy all that goes along with being a musician.”

Its coinciding visual, directed by Wave Change, captures BenBoh strutting through Times Square, which ultimately personifies the transition he’s currently at in his life. Looking to take the industry by storm, Boh hasn’t let off the gas since “Sick Of Love’s” release either. Sharing the energetic “Spring Break” in March, Boh’s efforts stem from a handful of projects over the course of 2020-22. His latest, Before The Fame 3, is perhaps his most polished to date, as “Sick Of Love” and “Spring Break” assert Boh’s major push to land on listeners’ radar in 2023.

While BenBoh is “Sick Of Love” — or the fake love his past life has given him — expect the Maryland-bred emcee to earn the appreciation he deserves in his next chapter.
