As music continues to evolve over time, more and more young artists seem to emerge out of nowhere.
The new wave is filled with an excess of hungry lyricists and producers who seem to play with new genres, experimenting with different sounds — and one of them is making a name for himself all on his own.
While many listeners may not yet be familiar with 18-year-old rapper Big Taie, it should surely change quickly. The Atlanta native has been busy mastering his craft and delivering high-quality songs that have caught the liking of both fans and artists. Over the last few weeks, Taie linked up with Trippie Redd, seen in his Instagram post below, as well as DMV superstar Ty Fontaine for a new track amid Beautiful Michi Girls’ rollout.
While Taie dropped his project Thank You, Goodbye in early January, he’s come back for more on his brand new EP, DVRK Tendencies. Ultimately, the tape is a major leap forward for Taie, as he was able to recruit more established underground acts like TyFontaine and Zelly Ocho. In DVRK Tendencies, fans find a plethora of sounds all over the project, displaying Taie’s natural talent and musical range over the course of its seven tracks.
Big Taie’s lead single “Watching” with Fontaine is simply a work of art for the rising Atlanta rapper. He not only showcases his impressive musical abilities throughout the track, but shows off his ability to create addicting melodies effortlessly alongside one of the new wave’s most potent artists. The polar opposite sounds of both Taie and Michi merge nearly perfectly together — making them a new duo that is sure to be in high demand.
Striving to garner industry recognition still early in his career, Big Taie continues to make big moves with multiple projects in the books and head-turning studio sessions with some of our generation’s most talented acts.
