Bobby Shmurda drops long-awaited comeback single ‘No Time For Sleep (Freestyle)’

The wait is over. Bobby Shmurda has ended his seven year hiatus by releasing his song and music video “No Time For Sleep (Freestyle)” on Sept. 3. The intense single clocks in at over six minutes in length. Check out the new era and momentous release by Bobby below.

Ever since Bobby Shmurda returned from his prison sentence in February, fans have been eager to receive new music from the Brooklyn native.

While his buddy Rowdy Rebel wasted no time dropping music after his December release, new Bobby Shmurda music has yet to see the light of day.

But, the wait is now over as he took to Instagram Monday (Aug. 30) to preview his new song and music video supposedly titled “No Sleep.”

The minute-long teaser opens up with a skit of Bobby interrogating a man, presumably in a gang-related hostage. The man does not give him what he wants, so Bobby fires off with an explosion that leads into a fiery snippet for the song.

“No Sleep” appears to follow a popular trend in rap instrumentally, with a loud piano loop and hard-hitting production similar to music from Lil Durk and the late King Von.

While we have not heard from Bobby in years, he has often been previewing tracks on Instagram and has linked up with fellow hip-hop stars — increasing hope of more upcoming music and collaborations.

“No Sleep” is slated to drop this week as Bobby mentioned in the caption of the post. So, fasten your seatbelts, because Bobby Shmurda could be looking to cause a shift in the rap game soon with his first release in almost seven years.
