Diddy cancels New Year’s Eve party due to COVID spikes in Florida

New Year’s Eve is just days away, and there is no better way to begin the New Year than a festive gathering with your closest friends.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing global pandemic and surging COVID cases, many people won’t be able to celebrate their New Year’s Eve as planned. P Diddy is being more mature than most this New Year’s Eve, cancelling his party due to concerns over the widespread Omicron variant.

The rap legend and entrepreneur had to cancel his luxurious New Year’s Eve celebration in Miami due to the ongoing rise in Covid cases in Florida and around the U.S. Prior to the pandemic, this was an annual event that Diddy would host, and as you can imagine, the guest list was extremely impressive.

Diddy’s now canceled his end-of-year bash for the second year in a row, as he was forced to call off his 2020 New Year’s Eve bash due to similar COVID-related reasons.

While Diddy took the initiative to take the more difficult, yet responsible route of calling off his New Year’s function, he has stayed plenty busy as of recently — retaking ownership of his old brand Sean John after the company recently filed for bankruptcy. He bought the company for $7.5 million, after winning a bidding war against four other parties.
