G-Eazy makes his return with ‘These Things Happen Too’

Bay Area rapper G-Eazy is going back to his roots by dropping a sequel to his debut album, These Things Happen.

With features from EST Gee, Lil Wayne, YG, E-40, Demi Lovato, Jack Harlow, blackbear, Ant Clemons and many more, These Things Happen Too is 19 songs, with the deluxe bringing the tracklist up to 29.

In preparation for the album, G-Eazy dropped “Let It Be (Freestyle)” with OG Maco, a heartfelt freestyle where both rappers express their honest thoughts. A trailer for the album surfaced soon after, featuring motivational words from former NFL star Marshawn Lynch.

G-Eazy returns to roll-out his new album with an ‘Announcement’

G-Eazy is ready to bless his fans with the sequel to his 2014 album, These Things Happen.

The teaser was coupled with the release of a new single appropriately titled “The Announcement,” as well as a stunning promo video of G sauntering into the studio as the audio increases the closer he gets to the booth.

In light of impending LP These Things Happen Too, G-Eazy has been on a tear in 2021 releasing a trio of singles in quick succession: “Provide” featuring Chris Brown and Mark Morrison, “At Will” featuring Memphis up-and-comer EST Gee and “Running Wild (Tumblr Girls 2)” featuring his first signee Kossisko.

Appearing on a mix of collaborations throughout the summer, G has sounded like he’s been in album mode for months. Featured on ALLBLACK‘s “10 Toes” and DDG’s remix of “Astronaut In The Ocean” by Masked Wolf, his eclectic nature also brought together Santana and Diane Warren for their vibrant pop cut “She’s Fire.”

G-Eazy is also no stranger to updating his records. His last two official releases are deluxe additions of When It’s Dark Out and The Beautiful & Damned, which were released in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Instead of keeping things routine, G opted for a new project in its entirety. “The Announcement” will not only hold over fans until its release Sept. 24, but will allow G to build hype for his eccentric return.
