Jacquees, the self proclaimed king of R&B, is determined to hold his place in the game, with a flurry of releases this year. Despite his last album’s release in 2019, he has consistently been putting out features and singles.
Two weeks ago, “Top of the Week” from Gorilla Zoe and Jacquees surfaced, featuring them trading bars over a sultry instrumental. Prior to that there were singles featuring the likes of Latto, Vedo, Chris Brown and Queen Naija, all solidifying the Decatur singer as a R&B force to be reckoned with. He even scored a solo track on the Boogie: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
This newest release, “Not Jus Anybody”, comes complete with contributions from Future. To begin, Future delivers a monologue about letting someone know your worth to set the tone for the track, as the theme is carried out in the lyrics of both vocalists. Jacquees slides across the piano instrumental before Future comes in with autotuned crooning about his lavish lifestyle.
Hopefully fans will be receiving a full-length offering from Jacquees soon, but for now, these singles have been on point.
