Johan Lenox joins Eli Sostre on a ‘Lonely Highway’ for their latest collaboration

Following a lowkey 2021, Brooklyn artist Eli Sostre has been heating up in 2022 as he builds momentum with his consistently high-quality releases. Dropping since early 2018, he’s joined by rising Boston-based singer-songwriter Johan Lenox this time around, as Sostre brings melancholic R&B energy to his latest single “Lonely Highway.”

A silky instrumental with a hypnotic guitar loop backs Eli’s crooning as he speaks on how lonely it gets at the top. As his verse closes out, Johan expands on the mesmerizing beat with subtle vocal stacks and a cinematic string arrangement before lamenting on his own struggles with heartfelt delivery.

I’m off the leash

I’m high, I’m shaded up with keys, I feel like Stevie

I seen some shit if I would say, you won’t believe me

She wanna do me, that bitch a freak, don’t ever leave me

I’m off that high grade

Johan himself is fresh off going on his first tour with 070 Shake, riding the success of his debut album What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up. We got the opportunity to catch up with him at his Sacramento stop where we got more details on the projects he has coming up as well as his overall tour experience.
