Philadelphia has never had a shortage of skilled rappers, with the newest addition being Dreamchasers signee KUR.
His latest release is a full-length mixtape titled Loyal To A Fault, consisting of 12 tracks with a variety of instrumentals and aggressive flows. His values are also all over this project, giving us an insight as to why he feels the title of his project applies to him.
Opting to go the solo route, KUR manages to provide multiple sounds throughout the relatively short project, ranging from the mellow banger “Shoulda Told You” to the vicious lead single “Seasons.” The overall concept of loyalty is present all over this project — addressing romantic, business and familial connections that often demand a lot from us.
“Throughout my whole career, people always told me that. It would be like, ‘Yo bro, you’re loyal to a fault’. I still have a soft spot for certain individuals though. I go out of my way for them even though the situation isn’t good for me and I know I deserve better. In terms of the concept, it doesn’t have to be a person per se. It could be a neighborhood or family. You should put yourself first, but you end up going down the same tunnel because of your loyalty.”

Along with the release of his tape, the young up-and-comer dropped a music video to accompany standout track “Love,” giving colorful visuals for the overall melancholy track.
With co-signs from his label head Meek Mill, Mozzy and Doe Boy, Philly’s latest player is ready to make waves with this new project — proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with as he settles into his role at Dreamchasers.
