With school around the corner, Baby and his label give back.
As the summer starts to wind down well into August, the upcoming school year is approaching quickly for both students and families.
While back to school shopping can be a dreadful time for students, it can also be tough for some families that cannot afford school supplies for their children. Lil Baby found this to be a perfect time to aid families like these in his hometown.
Through his label 4PF’s “Four The People” foundation, Lil Baby helped set up a back to school drive for families in Atlanta. The event gave away free clothes like t-shirts, laptops and various other school supplies with the help of volunteers. 4PF shared videos via Instagram of kids receiving these donations, and thanking Baby and the label for their generosity and new supplies.
Lil Baby has always seen himself as a champion in his community, evident in his Black Lives Matter anthem “The Bigger Picture” from last year as well as his verse on Rod Wave‘s “Rags2Riches 2” from 2020’s Pray 4 Love (Deluxe).
I’m a god in my hood, I give everyone hope
Can’t remember a time when my answer was nope
I remember the times I had nowhere to go“Rags2Riches 2” — Rod Wave, Lil Baby
Baby has set a great example for his rap colleagues by helping his community, and now Atlanta’s youth has the supplies they need to make it through the school year.
