Polo G drops music video for ‘Toxic’

Chicago “rapstar” presents seventh music video from his recent album ‘Hall of Fame.’

Polo G released the music video for his song “Toxic” Wednesday off his third studio album Hall of Fame. Polo’s earned a No. 1 berth on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, as “Toxic” peaked at No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This is the seventh music video to release for the album that consisted of 20 songs. The album’s lead single “Epidemic” released along with its music video on September 24, 2020. The second single, “RAPSTAR,” which became Polo G’s first No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 had its music video release on April 8.

The last single before the album’s release, “GANG GANG” with Lil Wayne, came accompanied with its music video on May 20. The subsequent releases of Hall of Fame‘s music videos came after the album dropped.

Songs “No Return” with Lil Durk and The Kid LAROI, “Painting Pictures” and “Party Lyfe” with DaBaby from the album received music videos in the past month, with “Party Lyfe”‘s visuals dropping most recently on June 16.

Polo G first teased the music video for “Toxic” on July 13 via Instagram, as he directed his fans to join the countdown for the video’s premiere.

The video, directed by COUNTERPOINT2.0 with effects done by Ryan Lynch sees Polo G surrounded by his colleagues, as it uses creative text to recite his brazen lyrics such as:

A lil’ white boy from the ‘burbs got the nerve to tell me I ain’t goin’ hard enough

Like he really ever had it hard enough

Like, bitch, don’t get me started up
