Rae Sremmurd shares new track, visual ‘Torpedo’

After unveiling their upcoming album SremmLife 4 this year, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have found their way back to the mic — dropping their latest single and visual “Torpedo” on Friday (Dec. 30).

Previously sharing “Denial,” “Community D**k” with Flo Milli and “Finger Food” with Duke Deuce, Rae Sremmurd seems to be gearing up for a prolific 2023. Off the strength of these singles, SremmLife 4 has been a long time coming — stemming from their third studio album, SR3MM, in 2018. “Torpedo’s” release also seems fitting since Rae is slated to perform on Saturday Night Live’s special New Year’s Eve show.

It’s only been recently that RaeSremm has reconnected. In May, the pair posted a simple photo of a blazing number “4” and a “SREMM4LIFE” caption, as the Mississippi-bred siblings let the world know that their new album is on the way.

Three tracks later, and with “Torpedo” freshly released, Rae Sremmurd’s fourth record is poised to be the duo’s comeback to chart-topping prominence — hoping to mirror the success of tracks like “Black Beatles,” “Swang,” “Perplexing Pegasus” and others.

Still without a release date, Swae and Slim’s long-awaited, full-length return is certainly anticipated in 2023.
