El-P and Killer Mike make up one of the most prominent duos in hip-hop, continuing their reign as Run The Jewels by reimagining their last full-length release.
Reviving their fourth self-titled album with RTJ CU4TRO, Mike and El-P have taken inspiration from some of their favorite Latin artists to remix all 11 original songs.
Enlisting some help from a few Latin American stars like Trooko, Akapellah, Toy Selecta and more, the duo brings back RTJ4 for a third time for an international blend of sounds. Longtime collaborator Nick Hook used his connections in Latin America to rework the project, meeting with rapper Akapellah to discuss his experience recording his contribution.
“It’s a pleasure for me to be part of such an amazing body of work. CU4TRO will lead to a huge change in the way we connect. We made great music from the bottom of our hearts for the world, and by combining different sounds & views, we hope it will eventually lead to a revolution & revelation within all of our cultures.”

RTJ4 graced streaming services two years ago, receiving a deluxe the following year with appearances from Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Pharrell and more. With this album now on its third release, fans are on the lookout for El-P and Mike’s next project as they stay consistent with collaborations with artists like Westside Gunn, Black Thought, A$AP Rocky and more.
This remix project continues the duo’s decade-long legacy of timeless, original music, now adding an international piece to their star-studded discographies. As Run The Jewels maintains their well-respected status in the hip-hop industry, enjoy another offering from them as we wait for news of their next album.
