So far, 2022 has given fans a plethora of Russ music — and his latest offering “Yes Sir” acts as a victory lap even if the year is only halfway over.
This track from Russ is a mix of two things that the Atlanta emcee has always excelled in: Laid-back flows and bars that make you envy his lifestyle and success. While the beat provides a darker tone to the track, it also has an odd softness to it that allows Russ to pocket his boastful wordplay seamlessly. It all comes together with the help of a catchy chorus that will likely be stuck in your head for days.

Although Russ delivered a stellar outing on his previous album Chomp 2 in December 2021, he’s back to dropping off multiple hits with typical volume. In April, he shared a four-pack EP titled If Not Now, When? — featuring more of Russ’ signature sound and aura that fans have come to love.
Not only that, the self-made entrepreneur-rapper has hopped on features for Logic and Joey Bada$$ in just the last two months. And if you’re still not impressed, Russ has put out a string of seven singles (including remixes) since the start of the year.
While we wait for whatever Russ’ next project will be, it is safe to say he is always working on new bangers to keep our rotations fresh.
