From what it seems on the outside looking in, Ye has been hard at work with his 2022 ventures.
Judging from the company he’s kept as of late, fans can expect new music from the generational producer-rapper much sooner than initially thought.
Following the announcement of a sequel to his Grammy-nominated album Donda, Ye has been spotted with a plethora of his talented friends and longtime collaborators alike.
Along with working on a new track with GOOD Music VP Pusha T — and seemingly squashing his beef with Big Sean following his Drink Champs interview — Ye has stayed busy locking in and kicking it with some of hip-hop’s most transcendent and respected acts.
On Sunday (Jan. 16), Ye was reportedly joined by Travis Scott in the studio, as photos of Scott leaving Ye’s facility were shot after Travis gave Ye the address for his four-year-old daughter Chi’s birthday party. Travis, Kardashian heiress Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi were all present at the party, as Scott tried to do right by his mentor during the throws of scathing divorce.
Ye continues to be vocal about his situation with ex-wife Kim Kardashian — whom he says is keeping his kids away from him and references her directly in his latest track “EAZY.”
Despite the drama surrounding his name, Ye remains extremely focused on the music. The Game, Hit-Boy, Mike Dean and DJ Premier joined forces with the Chicago legend for “Eazy” — an introspective, hard-hitting sampled cut where The Game and Ye both talk through their greatest hardships, saying their “Life was never EAZY”
Prior to Sunday’s reported studio session with the Cactus Jack founder, Ye was seen with both Pusha T and Fivio Foreign in public. Fivio recently made waves with his appearance on “Off The Grid,” a beaming highlight off Donda this past summer.
Additionally, Madonna, Floyd Mayweather, Antonio Brown, A$AP Rocky, Moneybagg Yo and his new girlfriend (actress Julia Fox) have all joined Ye on his 2022 journey.
While DONDA 2 has been confirmed by multiple sources from Ye’s camp, it still remains unclear which of these interactions have resulted in music or other ventures.
As fans wait for West’s next move, the iconic artist seems to be working at a rate that may be in line with his headlining sets at Coachella in April.
