Among the new wave’s rising stars, New York native Slump6s is perhaps the most unique voice of the bunch.
A group that consists of TyFontaine, SSGKobe, KA$HDAMI, SoFaygo, $NOT, BabySantana, Matt Ox and others, Slump6s strives to continue flourishing — competing for the limelight as he continues to grow as an artist.
His most popular track to date comes in the form of a feature on BabySantana’s, “Antisocial,” which recently earned a No. 1 berth on SoundCloud’s new and hot chart in June. The two teenage rappers compare their bond to that of the late-XXXTENTACION and Ski Mask The Slump God, as both of their styles are inherently influenced by the SoundCloud era pioneers.

On tracks like “Sixteen,” “Up It” and “DAKOTAROMANI,” the 16-year-old artist seems to be ahead of his time, combining a mix of rage, emo-rap and plugg production that has quickly become a staple in hip-hop today.
Slump isn’t just an ordinary junior in high school, he’s an artist through and through. Taking his time with the music he releases, he’s meticulous and dedicated to his craft — looking to level up once he drops his first full-length project. Using the Internet as a crutch for creativity, this is Slump’s first time meeting and working with other artists in person, all while handling fame and adjusting to his new life in the process.
His debut EP, 16, reasserts his defined presence as a lyricist — still growing and developing with every new release. Mixing his melodic singing with heightened rap skills, it’s hard to believe he’s only 16. While Slump6s is still striving to make a name for himself, he’s poised to become a voice to be reckoned with.
Slump isn’t only determined to be the new wave’s next star, he’ll become it sooner rather than later.
In his first-ever on-screen interview, Slump6s sits down with host Hakeem Rowe to discuss “Antisocial,” a collab tape with BabySantana in the works, DAKOTARAMI, SoFaygo and more in his Our Generation exclusive interview.
