Teezo Touchdown is certainly a once in a lifetime type of entertainer.
Slowly establishing himself as one of hip-hop’s most eclectic characters — completely ignoring the confines of genre to create a unique sound all his own — the Beaumont, Texas native is seemingly from another world. Donning nails in his hair, chain-linked necklaces, a microphone bouquet and eye-black fit for the football field, Teezo’s aura is wholeheartedly enigmatic, as his ability to craft rambunctious rock-infused anthems has catapulted the rising genre-bender to new heights.
Born the son of a DJ, Teezo was destined for stardom stemming from intrinsic desire to create. From rapping in high school to shooting music videos in his hometown, his 2019 remix of Panic At The Disco’s “I Write Sins, Not Tragedies,” managed to catch the eye of Trippie Redd — later befriending him and joining his 1400 entourage early in his career.
Gaining major attention in part by his appearance with Redd during a Montreality interview, the rap-rocker also caught the eye of Tyler, The Creator following his string of 2021 singles — earning a feature on CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST’s anthemic “RUN IT UP” as well as opening his CMIYGL tour alongside Vince Staples and Kali Uchis.
Throughout his relatively short career, Teezo has garnered co-signs from not only Trippie and Tyler, but also Kenny Beats, Madonna, BROCKHAMPTON, Chance the Rapper and many more — still hard at work creating his long-awaited debut project trying to “figure it all out.”

“I’m just figuring it out. The same reason why my style changes, why my music changes, I’m just trying to figure out what impression I’m gonna have on the world. That’s just me experimenting, I’m not really stuck to anything. I’m just trying to figure out what works for me. I’m waiting for that point when you put on my songs, you know it’s a Teezo song. Some people say I have that, but I may never feel like that.”
Teezo Touchdown to Hakeem Rowe
Simply put, nothing is off-limits for the Texas-born savant, going from a country-pop ballad like “Handyman” to matter-of-fact rapping on “SUCKA!” and even pop-punk crooning on “Social Cues.” With intimate singer-songwriter cuts such as “Strong Friend” and “Rooting For You,” his allure stems from his uncanny combination of sounds throughout his discography, primarily leaning on his rock-background as a bass player.
A rockstar in every right, there’s tons to take away from his instantly infectious sound and energy that’s iconically irreplaceable. Unbound by one specific musical style, his visuals are a true representation of his creativity, finding viral acclaim with his “Rid The Mid” campaign last summer and coinciding skits. While his music may be as lawless as he is, Teezo is humbled, down-to-earth and ready for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Don’t worry, you’re still early on the takeover of Teezo Touchdown, as OGM host Hakeem Rowe talked with the generational talent in his makeshift, heavy metal garage about his upcoming debut project, Tyler, The Creator, Trippie Redd and much more in his OGM exclusive interview.
