A Boogie wit da Hoodie gifts his fans with new EP ‘B4 AVA’

A Boogie wit da Hoodie is a pioneer for his melodic trap sound which showcases his autotune crooning. Artist Dubose, or A Boogie, thrived in the second half of the 2010s with hits like “My Sh*t” from his 2016 album Artist, “Drowning” from 2017’s The Bigger Artist and “Swervin” and “Startender” from 2018’s Hoodie SZN.

However, since this fruitful era, A Boogie has dropped less often, even though he keeps the same standard of quality for all of his music. His most recent album, the sequel to his 2016 tape, Artist 2.0 contained some of A Boogie’s most impressive material to date, including vibrant, upbeat hits like songs 3-5 on the album “Me and My Guitar,” “Might Not Give Up” with Young Thug and “Numbers” with Roddy Ricch and Gunna.

It has now been over a year and a half since Artist’s last project, as he has dropped the Artist 2.0 deluxe in June 2020, adding nine new songs to the tracklist. But, finally, in August of this year, A Boogie finally announced an upcoming album. He posted an animated teaser for A Boogie vs. Artist, but specified that it does not have a release date yet.

To hold fans over until this anticipated album drops, A Boogie wit da Hoodie decided they had earned a treat for their patience. On Dec. 10, Artist dropped B4 AVA, a seven song EP of tracks made to prepare his listeners for the forthcoming effort.

The only feature on B4 AVA is Lil Durk on the bonus track at the end “24 Hours,” as it was released prior in May.

“24 Hours” and the rest of the tracks on the EP continue to display A Boogie’s captivating sung hooks over guitar or piano loops with strong claps. The groovy production mixed with Artist’s special ability to emote in his songwriting make for a solid collection of tracks, feeding the fans starving for any semblance new music.
