After releasing his fourth project, F*CK YOUR FEELINGS, on June 18, Internet Money phenom Dro Kenji is still in an “all gas, no brakes” mode — releasing another SoundCloud loosie “Since December” Friday.
Within Kenji’s fan base, “Since December” has certainly been a long time coming. After teasing snippets on social media for the better part of a year, Kenji’s latest offering comes off the back of dropping four consecutive albums since October 2020. In his eight months of activity, Kenji has simply been on a tear — racking up over 50 songs in his discography in such a short amount of time.
“Since December” furthers his lustful, cold-hearted persona. Heartbroken and tattered, he continues his high-level crooning over hard-hitting, melodic production — teaming up with his right-hand man Census for another classic emo-rap cut.
As Kenji looks to build off the success of underground hits in “CROSS,” “TOUNGE TIED” and “TRANCE,” F*CK YOUR FEELINGS is the young superstar’s most cohesive project to date — creating an immersive, atmospheric project bubbling with mainstream appeal. While it may take time for Kenji to garner the recognition he deserves, he’s still at the cusp of what he will accomplish over the course of his career.
