New York’s viral sensation Ice Spice has been all over social media since the success of her femme drill banger “Munch,” swiftly reentering our feeds with another undeniably catchy snippet.
Now, Ice returns with a SpongeBob-themed banger “Bikini Bottom” — which initially gained traction from a TikTok snippet as she dances to the bouncy track. A goofy loop captured the attention of listeners everywhere, garnering attention prior to the song’s release on Friday (Oct. 28).
After “Munch,” Ice Spice has been unavoidable on social media, appearing alongside big-time celebrities like Drake, Cardi B, Kai Cenat, Lil Tjay and more. Her bright red hair and seductive persona have attracted an enormous audience, using a laidback delivery and quotable lingo to make her a memorable addition to the industry.
“Bikini Bottom” continues to assert her standing as one of the next big voices out of NYC — quickly spitting over the quirky string-infused instrumental. The WORLDSTARHIPHOP video for “Bikini Bottom” shows Spice dancing carefree with a group of friends in a party bus, among other things.
Most recently, Ice joined B-Lovee, Skillibeng and J.I the Prince for “One Time,” combining all of New York’s most prevalent movements for a Caribbean drill anthem.
Showcasing some marketing finesse, her image and mystique have gotten her far, as her discography clocks in at just six singles, not including this upcoming drop. There’s no details on an upcoming full-length project, however, these appearances have surely resulted in more music behind the scenes.
