Isaiah Rashad drops ‘Slow Motion Freestyle’ ahead of album release

Zay releases brief freestyle in preparation for ‘The House Is Burning.’

Isaiah Rashad dropped “Slow Motion Freestyle” Wednesday on YouTube and SoundCloud to promote his upcoming album The House Is Burning. The instrumental Rashad flows over comes from the 2003 hit “Slow Motion” by Juvenile and Soulja Slim.

Last week, Rashad announced that his forthcoming, third studio album would be released on July 30. This highly anticipated record already has two singles out with “Lay Wit Ya” featuring Duke Deuce and most recently “Headshots (4r Da Locals)” released on June 17.

In the one minute and 40 second freestyle, Isaiah Rashad keeps it playful, rapping about his flings in different cities and his sexual experiences with them. After touching on the girls he has from Texas, Tennessee and Florida, he winds down the freestyle by settling into a “slow motion for me” chorus first employed by Soulja Slim in the original track.

Isaiah is not particularly used to releasing music at a high frequency, so him being willing to drop a lowkey freestyle shows the groove he is in ahead of his new album. The House Is Burning drops in two weeks, but in the meantime check out Isaiah Rashad’s new “Slow Motion Freestyle” below.
