Nettspend drops “impact” featuring xaviersobased

Hours after claiming he’s not “underground” at Rolling Loud, Nettspend hops back on the jerk beats with xaviersobased on “impact.”

The latest from the DMV rising star parlays his budding mainstream success with the sound that initially ignited his ascent. A link-up from xaviersobased, a reinvigorated pioneer of the current jerk wave, Nett’s new song celebrates his golden 18th birthday on March 18, and is his first release since sharing the visual for “TOMMY” and his debut mixtape BAFK in December 2024. He released the video a week later (March 24).

“impact” follows Xav and Nettspend’s previous collaboration “40” last year, as recent appearances modeling for Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week and Rolling Loud (saying it’s his “last Rolling Loud” on stage) illustrate a new movement in his motion. On top of his end-of-year show with PinkPantheress, it’s clear the Grade A/Interscope-signed star is on his way to greater acclaim in the current wave, striving to detach the “underground” moniker from his name and shooting for bigger and brighter stages.

Nett’s “impact” has been felt, and continues to be unmatched compared to the rest of his UG peers. It’s only a matter of time before he doubles his influence on a larger scale.
