Thirteendegrees shares ‘DA PROBLEM SOLVA’ visual off ‘Clique City Vol. 2’

Thirteendegrees knows how to turn up the heat; he’s too cold on the mic.

On a tear in the underground to kick off 2025, the Chicago native’s January mixtape, Clique City Vol. 2, has become a smash in its own right. But the project’s most enticing track, “DA PROBLEM SOLVA,” is in all parts infectious and dripped in swagger.

Blending nostalgic visuals and jerk-infused sounds of the latest wave, Thirteendegrees shared the song’s music video this week (March 5)—and it’s incredible. Clad with 2000s-esque MTV edits, it showcases Thirteen’s refreshing creativity and ability to pay homage to earlier eras without biting it.

If you’re just getting hip, Thirteen’s been on a relentless streak of projects since his 2023 debut Urban Junkie. He dropped a trio of tapes in 2024, with the last being volume 1 of Clique City. On Volume 2, Thirteen sounds more polished and focused than ever—touting vocal shades of SoFaygo and the energy of Chicago drill, backed by anthemic, brass-filled beats reminscient of the mid-2010s.

You can hear the “No Hands” and “Work” samples sprinkled throughout the tape (Thirteendegrees has done his homework on nostalgia), as highlights like the aforementioned “Da Problem Solva,” “Talkin 2 Much (Knockout),” “Tumblr Modelz” and “Teardropz” give throwback but feel ever-refreshing.

Get with the clique—Thirteendegrees is turning up the Chi-Town and beyond.
