After a breakout year with the release of learn 2 swim on his 18th birthday, redveil put 2022 “2daside” with a celebratory new single (Dec. 30).
Combining instrospective bars with raw energy, redveil gives a soulful take on trap and east coast rap — a style he honed on his sophomore album last March. “2daside” is a nostalgic, energetic thrill ride — utilizing synths and bouncy drums to further paint the picture of the Maryland emcee’s wins in 2022. The music video sees redveil pay homage to the great painter Bob Ross as he enjoys his life hanging out with friends.
The PG County native delivers a heartfelt performance, lyrically focusing on his skill and authenticity as he continues to provide maturity far past his age. While it’s unknown if redveil is prepping a project in the new year, 2023 is sure to be another boundless leap for the OGM All-Star.
