As Internet Money co-sign Rot Ken is on a quick climb to the top, there seems to be nothing holding back the 17-year-old talent.
Simply put, Rot Ken has that undefinable quality that makes good artists great. With ferocious wordplay and ear-catching melodies, his voice and cadence draws similarities to a Lil Baby-Young Thug-NBA YoungBoy hybrid. While still incarcerated — as his #freeken movement continues to wage on amongst his fans, friends and collaborators — Ken has stayed busy dropping a handful of singles over the course of 2021, with his last being “Heartbreak Kid” in late-October.

Rot Ken shares new single, visual for ‘Heartbreak Kid’
With Ken reportedly earning a feature on fellow IM artist Dro Kenji’s upcoming album With Or Without You, he adds another new wave star to his growing list of collaborations, recruiting Cactus Jack sensation SoFaygo for their new hit “Beautiful.”
Over the summer, a snippet of an early version of the track surfaced on Reddit and YouTube, as both Ken and Faygo fans have been clamoring for its release since the teaser was initially shared.
Marking the start of the holiday season with its release, “Beautiful” comes exactly as advertised — filled with ethereal waning pads and reverse piano melodies as Rot Ken emanates a certain “Young Thug” approach to the track — using his higher register to bend his bars within his singing prowess. With production from super producers JetsonMade and Nick Mira, Faygo and Ken once again assert their star power on this new wave hit.
SoFaygo continues his year-long tear on “Beautiful,” offering yet another short and sweetly-sung feature verse to his 2021 collection. On his comeback solo track “Let’s Lose Our Minds” in October, the Cactus Jack signee showcased once more that he is one of hip-hop’s biggest stars to blow, channeling his iridescent cadences into another “Beautiful” track.

On top of being co-signed by the likes of Travis Scott, Trippie Redd and Lil Uzi Vert, his unique style continues to captivate our generation fully — doing so once more with the rising Rot Ken. While his highly-anticipated debut album Pink Heartz looms closer to an official announcement, Faygo is seemingly primed for superstardom off the back of features with Lil Yachty (“Solid”) and Trippie Redd (“MP5”).
As these superstars in the making continue to make a splash capitalizing on their chemistry, it’s only a matter of time before Ken and Faygo see the true fruits of their labor.
