It seems as Strick continues to make a name for himself out of the Young Stoner Life camp, he links with the industry’s best for each new track.
Coming off breakout performances with Kid Cudi and Young Thug, as well as with Skepta on YSL’s April album Slime Language 2, Strick linked with rising R&B singer Kaash Paige in August for their single “Bad Girl.” Now, he is back again with one of hip-hop’s best hook crafters in Swae Lee for their new song “Play Stupid,” released on Oct. 8.
Produced by famed YSL producer Wheezy, “Play Stupid” contains a smooth, laid-back atmospheric instrumental similar to those Wheezy provides for Gunna on a regular basis. Swae Lee opens up the song with his melodic hook about his exclusive relationship with his girl.
Shawty made my other girl dip (Dip, oh, oh-oh, oh)
If I was to love her, she would leave me with shit (Shit, oh, oh-oh, oh)
Still tryna play Cupid
I don’t play mind games, I don’t play stupid (No, no)
“Play Stupid” — Strick, Swae Lee
Strick appears on the track for the first verse, spitting effortless bars about how he has options with his women, and is unapologetic with handling his exes.
Keep it G, even my backup bitch is an actress
I bossed up and wrote my ex off on my taxes

Swae Lee capps off the song with two more renditions of the chorus and a second verse continuing to flex his Lamborghini Urus. The music video for “Play Stupid” shows Swae and Strick chilling with an extensive roster of women, as if they are part of a collection at an art gallery.
Strick wisely chooses each collaboration he participates in, as him and Swae Lee develop a neat chemistry and find a groove on this new cut.
