Rising swedish rapper Yung Lean is back with a new track to start the summer off right.
“Summer Rain” is a Youtube exclusive that comes with a vampire-themed music video. Lean spits monotonely over a fast-paced beat — quicker than long-time fans are used to. The video depicts scenery similar to a vintage horror movie set in a dark forest and haunted mansion.
Yung Lean made a name for himself in 2013 with his hit “Ginseng Strip 2002”. He has been a integral character in the grimy, UK rap scene — arguably pioneering many of the darker trap melodies that have become more prominent in today’s music.
This is Lean’s first release since his 2020 album Starz featuring the singles “Pikachu” and “Opium Dreams” with fellow Sad Boy Bladee.
