Bay Area up-and-comer Dom Corleo has undeniably taken the underground by storm with his recent hot streak of rage-inspired singles. Rocking “Converse” to the fullest, Corleo continues his year with a two-part graphic courtesy of DotCom Nirvan — one of the premier video directors in hip-hop.
Bringing his A-game, Nirvan curates another visually intricate piece on “Converse/Fly As Hell” as Dom goes back-and-forth from the freezing tundra to outerspace with psychedelic aliens and monsters in the background — transitioning to a black-and-white environment for the second song.
Both tracks fit the mind-boggling visual effects, following Dom’s undefeated track record of top-tier instrumentals. “Converse” starts things off with a fast-paced banger and lyrics about designer clothes and Dom’s party lifestyle. Transitioning smoothly into the second track, “Fly As Hell” takes things up a notch with an ethereal beat, allowing Dom to stay consistent with his lyrical content and flow.
“This some new shit I got off of Grailed
All black shades, it’s brand new Chanel (Brand new shit)
Brand new ho, she straight outta Yale (Brand new ho)
She just throwin’ that bread like it’s Yale”
Dom Corleo — “Fly As Hell”
These two singles mark his seventh and eighth tracks since his last EP, Garden of Eden 2 — a 5-track offering released this past June. Since then, breakout singles like “Penthouse Shordy” and “Ginseng” have held over fans until his next full-length album.
Most recently, the young West Coast star dropped his highly-anticipated song “Bloody Runtz,” feeding fans after his appearance on OGM’s YouTube channel for an interview with Hakeem Rowe.
