Drake’s response to disses from Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Future, J. Cole, Metro Boomin, Rick Ross and more surfaced online April 13, and there’s tons of quotables that prove that the 6 God wants all the smoke.
More importantly, the uncanny release begs the question of ‘did Drake leak it himself?’ Perhaps. It’s certainly not out of the cards. The official track “Push Ups” officially released on streaming platforms on Friday (April 19), and it’s packed with firepower towards all of Drake’s opps. Most of these bars, though, are pinpointed at Lamar.
Metro Boomin and Future’s second collaborative album, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, saw more shots aimed at the OVO boss, especially on tracks like “Show Of Hands” and “All To Myself.” The uncanny release of “Push Ups” occurred just days after the tandem’s second disc dropped.
Drizzy even had bars for “First Person Shooter” collaborator J. Cole, who removed his diss track toward Kendrick Lamar, “7 Minute Drill,” from all streaming platforms on April 12. “And that f*king song y’all got is not starting beef with us/This sht been brewing in a pot, now I’m heating up… I don’t care what Cole think, that Dot sht was weak as f**k,” Drake raps on the 4-minute long song.
