Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR turn up the heat with V-Day album ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U’

$ome $exy $ongs 4 U are Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s forte, dropping their long-awaited joint project on Valentine’s Day.

The collab album from the OVO duo marks Drake and PARTY’s first joint project and Drake’s third collaborative album of his career—arriving just a year and a half after Her Loss with 21 Savage.

$$$4U touts 21 tracks and features from PIM, Yebba and Chino Pacas, as well as a vocal cameo from Ice Spice on “GLORIOUS.” Two important takeaways on first listen: 1) Drake and PND’s chemistry is undeniable and 2) the beef is still very much alive. Drake references the aftermath of his bout with Kendrick Lamar on a handful of $$$4U tracks—especially on “BRIAN STEEL” where he raps, “Broski just hit me, said, ‘Put all the beef on the side,’ I can’t / Mm-mm, I’m heated now, yeah.”

$$$4U arrives after a turbulent year for Drake, who recently faced renewed controversy at the 2025 GRAMMYs. During the ceremony, Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” won five awards (two of which in the “Big 4” categories), further fueling the feud between the two. Not to mention Kendrick’s Super Bowl Halftime performance, where he also performed the song and directly addressed Drake. Sheesh.

In response, Drizzy pursued a defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group—the label that distributed the song—alleging it promoted false claims and manipulated streaming numbers. The lawsuit is still ongoing, with more details to be provided.

Drake and PND share a long history, dating back to 2013 when Party signed with OVO Sound. Their first track together, “Over Here,” from PARTY’s debut project, cemented the connection between the two. Since then, the two have worked together on a slew of fan-favorite cuts, including “Recognize,” “Preach,” and “Loyal.”

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s latest album, PND4, peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, selling 37,000 first-week units. The album notably has no features, a rarity for OVO artists who normally tap in to each other’s projects. In the meantime, Drake just kicked off the third leg of his It’s All a Blur Tour overseas in Australia.

Here’s some of our favorite tracks on first listen: “CN TOWER,” “SOMETHING ABOUT YOU,” “NOKIA,” “BRIAN STEEL,” “GREEDY,” “CELIBACY,” “SMALL TOWN FAME,” “RAINING IN HOUSTON,” “GIMME A HUG.”
