Memphis rapper Duke Deuce continues to hold it down for the crunk scene with his fourth studio album, Memphis Massacre 3, appropriately released just in time for this Halloween weekend.
Fresh off the biggest year of his career thus far, Duke has entered the ring to release one more project before the end of the year — capitalizing on his most recent collaboration with GloRilla and Quavo on the remix of “JUST SAY THAT.”
Taking the Halloween spirit to heart, Duke Deuce gives us a spooky soundtrack, kicking things off with an appearance from Opera Memphis. The rest of the album features Memphis natives like Glockianna and Big Moochie Grape for an eerie crunk experience, using booming, cinematic instrumentals to accompany his high-energy delivery.
Duke Deuce’s 2022 has been chock-full of features and guest appearances with the likes of Rico Nasty, Lil Yachty, Juicy J and more. His promotion for the album has led to the creation of “Deucifer” — his alter-ego symbolized by a doll who Deuce has been riding around with while bumping unreleased snippets.
His fourth album CRUNKSTAR introduced new fans to his star power, conjuring a movement behind the danceability and catchiness of his high-energy hits. Throughout the project, his ability to push the boundaries of his sub-genre continues to impress.
The first two installments of the Memphis Massacre series were a fantastic introduction for fans; the second of which featured Duke Deuce’s breakout hit “Crunk Ain’t Dead.”
As Memphis continues to break new ceilings with every budding artist, Duke has proven himself a permanent part of their legacy once again with his undeniable charisma and head-bobbing anthems on his latest release.
