EST Gee has been doing numbers in 2021.
Peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, Bigger Than Life Or Death’s success was not only bolstered by EST Gee’s captivating performance, but also by guest appearances from Future, Young Thug, Yo Gotti, Pooh Shiesty, Lil Baby and others.
“5500 Degrees” is the most feature-heavy track on the project, as EST links with 42 Dugg, Rylo Rodriguez and Lil Baby — creating a posse cut for the ages.
All four of these artists have worked with each other in some capacity, with one example being Rylo’s song “Walk” featuring 42 and Baby. Lil Baby’s “Real As It Gets” has a verse from EST Gee, who worked with 42 Dugg for “Members Only” and “Rose Gold” as well as a few album cuts.
As far as chemistry between the four rappers goes, these wordsmiths mesh wonderfully. Each approaching the tracks’s bouncy instrumental differently, every verse has elements that are unique. The result is a fast-paced banger that provides tons of momentum, keeping listeners on their toes.
Despite having just released his album, EST has been known for his hard work ethic for the last few years. Expect more from Louisville’s rising superstar in the very near future.
