Kanye West has had an incredibly busy year — between his business ventures, personal life and music.
Ghostface Killah took to Reddit to announce Ye’s latest endeavor — executive production of his upcoming album, Supreme Clientele 2. Legendary producer and engineer Mike Dean will be assisting in the curation of this project, guaranteeing a high-quality masterpiece in the works.
Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah has been consistently adding to his catalog since the 1990s, dropping verses on various projects with a multitude of artists. His latest collaborations include songs with School of the Gifted (a group of Wu-Tang affiliates), Peter Rosenberg, Jim Jones and funk/soul duo LION BABE.
His versatility has allowed him to make music with a diverse group of artists, leading fans to wonder how a collaboration between him and Kanye will sound. Donda, Kanye’s most recent project, is a good reference point for his musical style as of late, with the project receiving a couple of controversial edits this past week.
It is unclear at this time how much direct involvement West and Dean will have, with the two of them producing on projects by Lana Del Ray, Playboi Carti, Pop Smoke and Kid Cudi in the last year alone. Regardless, all three artists are known for putting exceptional thought into their releases, making for a “Supreme” deadly trio.
Prior to the release, catch him on tour with GZA and Raekwon as they travel across the country for the rest of the year. Ghostface Killah’s upcoming album, Supreme Clientele 2, scheduled to be released in Feb. 2022.
