Rashad releases music video two days before upcoming album release.
Isaiah Rashad released “Runnin'” featuring ScHoolboy Q this morning (July 28). The track will not be featured on his album The House Is Burning, set to release this Friday (July 30).
“Runnin'” has been a long-awaited release for Rashad. Back in June 2019, he took to Instagram Live to preview music he was working on. While hanging out with fun-loving, West Coast rapper Buddy, he played his portion of the track. Fans have been starving for this song to release ever since.
Now, we have the official version, with an unheard ScHoolboy Q feature verse and production by Kenny Beats. While “Runnin'” has not been, and potentially will not be, released on streaming platforms, it came out on YouTube with visuals instead.
The song begins as the snippet did, with Rashad’s “All I wanna do is break the knock off” verse. This leads into the mellow, repetitive “runnin’ from the law” hook. After a calm refrain from Zay, ScHoolboy Q brings some grittiness to the track with his poised verse.
All them long nights ain’t long for nothin’
