Back in 2019, Drake brought out J Hus at a London Show after he was released from prison. Now, the two come together for their first formal link-up, collaborating on an undeniable summer jam “Who Told You” (June 9).
A follow up to “It’s Crazy” in May, the UK rapper is gearing up to release his upcoming album DON’T SAY MILITANCY off the strength of a Drake feature. However, it’s not like he needs it. Despite it being three years since the J Hus has dropped a full-length project — with 2020’s Big Conspiracy holdinh over fans in the meantime — his latest singles reassert the breadth of talent he possesses that fans may have forgotten.

Under the radar no more, J Hus wastes no time proving himself to being one of London’s most promising stars. Drake is no stranger to the UK sound and was the perfect addition to the record as they both effortlessly float of the P2J-produced record.
J Hus opens with soothing vocals. He asks the question “Who told you bad man don’t dance” on the hook, as Drake raps on his verse “I find love and it slowly dies, so Lilah Pi, don’t make me cry” — expressing that he knows this new girl will bring him trouble, but he’ll enjoy her company anyway.
The UK sound and Afrobeats have been taking over the summer for the past few years — i.e. Burna Boy’s “Last Last” in 2022, among many more cuts. “Who Told You” is sure to be on any and all summer playlists as the heat settles in.
