Key Glock drops sequel mixtape ‘Yellow Tape 2’

Memphis rapper Key Glock has been steadily feeding his fanbase this past year with his second collaboration tape Young Dolph (Dum and Dummer 2) and his compilation record Paper Route Illuminati.

Now, he returns for a third helping with the sequel to his 2020 effort Yellow Tape.

Glock opens with the ominous “Something About Me,” giving listeners a look into his life in typical hard-hitting fashion. On the single “Ambition for Cash,” producer Tay Keith sets the tone with a whimsical flute that plays throughout. Glock easily flows over the production, speaking on his motivation, drive and overall love for money.

The accompanying video involves successfully him robbing a bank, fitting that description precisely. It’s a song destined to be a hit thanks to Glock’s one-liners and Keith’s captivating production.

Another standout, “From the Bottom,” placates to a lighter vibe thanks to the soothing harp playing in the background. Still, Glock comes into the track hard and ready to cut any opponent down.

Key Glock also dropped a collection of music visualizers for several of the songs, each featuring his brigade of signature yellow luxury cars. Yellow Tape 2 continues Key Glock’s impressive streak of braggadocious bangers. His bouncy, vibrant voice always catches the beat just right and gives listeners exactly what they’re looking for: braggadociously, confident raps.
