Kid Cudi to release ‘A Man Named Scott’ documentary on Nov. 5

In recent years, notable rappers have been using documentaries to tell additional stories of their life aside from their music. Travis Scott dropped his “Look Mom I Can Fly” documentary in 2019 as a Kanye West documentary is in the works as we speak.

Kid Cudi decided it was his turn to play documentarian, as he is set to release his new film “A Man Named Scott” in partnership with Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 5.

The documentary will touch on the impact of his 2009 debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day and its hit single “Day ‘n’ Nite,” as well Cudi’s subsequent mental health battles, including his 2016 admission to a rehabilitation center.

At the end of the trailer, Cudi proclaims “I’m not done yet,” as he looks ahead to further endeavors. This likely includes the Summer 2022 animated Netflix show and potential accompanying album “Entergalatic” he has slated for release.

Before then, however, Kid Cudi will grace us with insight into his legendary and genre-changing run in the 2010s with his new documentary, arriving to Prime Video next Friday.
