Kodak Black drops off four-track EP ‘Happy Birthday Kodak’

Kodak Black celebrated his birthday Friday by dropping a four-pack for his fans.

Happy Birthday Kodak comes complete with two solo tracks, a collaboration with Jacquees and a posse cut featuring Rylo Rodriguez, Yo Gotti and Lil Keed

“Gleerious” has the birthday boy crooning in his higher range for most of the song, followed by a braggadocious verse where Kodak takes advantage of his southern drawl. “Feelin’ Peachy” features a relentless flow over a luxurious beat that warrants the lavish video that accompanied the release.

Jacquees and Kodak float over an orchestral instrumental on “White Toes”. Kodak tapped three very different rappers for crew cut “Amber Rolls”, with each of them taking a very different direction in both delivery and flow.

Since released from jail in January, Kodak has been keeping himself busy — most recently dropping his latest full-length album Haitian Boy Kodak in May. The “No Flockin” rapper has also shown that he can still run a feature in 2021 on “Hit Bout It” with Lil Yachty.

These four new tracks not only serve as another teaser for fans waiting on more Kodak Black, but also continues Kodak’s steady return to hip-hop with ease.
