Lakeyah drops ‘My Time’, hosted by DJ Drama

Lakeyah has been merciless following her 2021 XXL Freshman nod, dropping project after project this year. Her latest effort My Time (Gangsta Grillz: Special Edition) is hosted by the great Gangsta Grillz legend, DJ Drama.

Featuring appearances from OG Parker, Tyga, Moneybagg Yo and Bankroll Freddie, the 11-track tape is jam-packed with bangers exemplifying Lakeyah’s emergence as of one hip-hop’s most entertaining female performers.

Last week, she premiered the tape’s lead single “313-414” featuring Detroit’s own Tee Grizzley. The track was a fluid collaboration between the two aggressive rappers with visuals to match.

Take a listen to Lakeyah’s newest mixtape below!

Lakeyah teases upcoming mixtape ‘My Time’ with DJ Drama

After being featured on the 2021 XXL Freshman List, Lakeyah is back to feed her fans with a mixtape hosted by DJ Drama.

Fresh off the Sept. 10 release of her EP Big Timer — featuring collaborations with 42 Dugg, City Girls and Yung Bleu — Lakeyah’s dropped a plethora of projects this year as yet another upcoming LP continues to draw closer. She is also planning to release My Time’s lead single “313-414″ with Tee Grizzley complete with an accompanying music video.

Her ability to seamlessly add her own flavor to remixes like “We Paid,” “Wet” and “Triggered” is a rarity these days — bringing back the energy of Lil Wayne‘s Dedication mixtapes.

While fans wait for the Drama-hosted My Time, Lakeyah hopped on “5500 Degrees” by EST Gee for a quick “KeyMix.” Historically, DJ Drama is no stranger to working with artists on remix tapes, as the Gangsta Grillz legend comes off a wildly success collaboration with Tyler, The Creator for Call Me If You Get Lost.

As for Quality Control’s newest female signee, she’s not only set to continue her marathon of music this year, but also strives to let listeners uncover her artistry each passing project.
