Lil Wayne drops collaboration project with Rich the Kid

Any fan of Rich The Kid and Lil Wayne knows that the duo has spent plenty of time kicking it at the skate park.

On their collective grind, the pair joined forces to deliver a 10-song collaborative album, Trust Fund Babies, over the weekend as the tag team turned heads with their bombastic beat selection and undeniable chemistry.

With a sole feature from YG, the project is chock-full of bouncy instrumentals, catchy hooks and classic flows from both Wayne and Rich. Rich even pays homage to Weezy on “Feelin’ Like Tunchei,” spoofing his 2012 deposition in the track’s visual.

This isn’t the pair’s first time working together, however, as Rich dropped a verse on Wayne’s remix of “Throat Baby,” which appeared on No Ceilings 3 last year. Wayne returned the favor hopping on Rich and NBA Youngboy’s collaboration titled “Body Bag” on Nobody Safe.

This year has been very fruitful for both rappers in their own respects. This year alone, Wayne has dropped features on songs with Drake, Tyler, the Creator, Polo G, DJ Khalid, G-Eazy and DaBaby, continuing his resurgent feature run as of late.

Rich the Kid started the year off right with Lucky 7, a seven track EP with appearances from DaBaby, SipTee, Flo Milli, Latto, Rubi Rose, Quavo, Takeoff and Lil Mosey. His most recent release is a remix of “Prada” with Polo G.

Trust Fund Babies is fit for aux-curated parties that are sure to get the room vibing. The “collide is styles” collaboration is always a welcoming surprise for listeners, as both Wayne and Rich craft an energetic and enjoyable project worth revisiting.
