Fresh of her fourth album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, UK rapper Little Simz has announced the US portion of her latest tour. It kicks off in Birmingham, England in November before heading overseas to Portland, Oregon in May.
Simz has been on a tear lately, promoting and supporting SIMBI. She recently had her US TV debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last month, performing the single “Woman.” Donning a sleek suit within a dimly lit, lounge-like set, she immediately showed American audiences why she’s been revered by the likes of Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole.
After Fallon, Simz then returned to NPR’s highly coveted “Tiny Desk Concert” series. She previously was there to support her sophomore album Stillness in Wonderland. There, she performed a medley of songs including the cinematic opener “Introvert” as well as standout tracks “Point and Kill” and “I Love You, I Hate You.” The set was simple, darkened living room and allowed Simz’s introspective lyrics to shine through.
SIMBI has been getting rave reviews since the album dropped, with many calling it Simz’s best work yet. If her performances on Fallon and Tiny Desk are any indication, the shift from record to the stage will be as lively as ever.
