After releasing “Lately” last month, Kye Colors stamps this year as his own.
Atlanta-based record label LVRN has been responsible for pushing out amazing talent such as 6LACK and Summer Walker. That being said, it comes as no surprise that they are back with yet another fire signee to the label. The Kansas City-born rapper and producer cross-blend has been on a run for a while now, and is ready to take over the summer with “NOW + LATER.”
For those unfamiliar with Kye Colors, he is an artist who has had music within his core for a very long time. Making music at the tender age of five, Kye has now evolved into an artist that is focused on mastering his craft of producing amazing records and intricate storytelling and writing within his art. On “NOW + LATER”, produced by Natra Average & Pitt the Kidd, Kye Colors raps alongside soothing melodies by the uber-talented vocalist Tonye Ayeba.
Kye Colors is also gearing up to release his project COLORMAN: YELLOW, a part of his COLORMAN EP series. Earlier this year, Kye released COLORMAN: RED as the first project in the series.
When asked about the ideation behind the project, Colors said: “Recently my time has been engulfed by the busy lifestyle associated with being an emerging superstar. Whether it’s family, friendships, community or my dating life, all areas have been affected. On YELLOW, you’ll hear me refer to myself as The Ladies Man, The Hippie, The Light, and The Coach, as I transition into an awakening after being in the Darkness on Red. Please excuse my focus and work ethic. The love never left.”
